LOVE IT ! We go Once a week!
This place is sooooo good! First of all imdarealt wrote a false review! Your waiter doesn't bring your chips and salsa. They have a chips and salsa guy and thats all he does! Second they don't have Chicken enchiladas they only have cheese! If you want chicken you have to order that separetly. Enchiladas come in a combo meal that are only cheese! You should have read the menu! Also he made a comment that the food is not Mexican when is truely is! Maybe he is use to "mexican" like Taco Cabana which is americanized!! But you can't get better Mexican food then this! The beef is SHREDDED BEEF! not ground beef! Like most Mexican resturants!
The resturant is very large and gets very busy! When me and my husband go our bill has NEVER been over $50.00 which includes an app to share each person meal and 2 Regular size flavored Margritas each.
It makes me so mad when there are bad reports on this resturant! Their food drinks and service is WONDERFUL! I never had a bad experience!

Not special anymore
Visited on Nov 06, 2008. They lost most of their flavor and taste. Food is average, service slightly below, waiters did not pay attention to orders, brought wrong dinners, had to reorder, drinks were flavorless too much water in it.

All-in-all not a place to go for a nice Dinner out.

THE WORST MEXICAN FOOD EVER.
I took my wife and a friend of ours there, it was all of our first time there on Aug 30, 2008 and I treated .After the wait and the poor service we were seated at a dirty wet table that had just been poorly wiped down. We had to wait for the waiter to take our drink orders and bring the chips and salsa for about 15 minutes and the place were not very busy at this time the employees were complaining to each other and seating customers at the wrong tables you should not get table 11 mixed up with 16 that was us. Anyway we finally got our drinks and the chips and salsa came later, so we ordered appetizers and the appetizers came at the same time our main meal came I hated the tacos, the meat is like roast beef shredded and the chickn tacos were very dry & the rice is just cheap plain old white rice and dry. My wife had some enchiladas that were suppose to have chicken in them but it was only cheese, our friend ordered some enchiladas and some tacos and he did not finish his meal, we all complained to each other in the car. We all had the same feelings and it was a BAD experience. I will not ever go back to that place again that food is not mexican and the service was poor, the next day we went to Taco Cabana the food and the service was MUCH better than Carlos and Mickey's. I spent $61.00 at that place for a bad experience. If you read this and decide to go I just hope you have better luck than we had at that place, and I hope you like dry shredded roast beef in your tacos and enchiladas and dry chunky chicken pieces and cheap white rice on the sideHIGHLY DISSAPOINTED.

Best Margaritas!
This is the place to go to for margaritas! Select from 3 sizes, and be sure you have a deignated driver if you are brave and do the Texas size margarita! Strawberry flavor is my favorite, but you can't go wrong with the other flavors.

Terrific food, good prices, wonderful ambience!
We love this place! The servers are kind of Old World, which gives it a nice touch. The beautiful surroundings create an environment that is most enjoyable and comfortable. The menu includes a wide variety of Mexican specials, along with American selections, and an extensive choice of spirits (try the Margaritas!). We especially love the green chile enchiladas! Expect a wait on the weekends, but it's well worth it.

HORRIBLE SERVICE and DRY FOOD
My husband and I were visiting from LA. Hotel recommended this place. We got there on a week night and the place was packed- good sign so far. They placed us in the far corner. 10min later, waiter wizzed by to take order. I ordered the fajitas. He didn't even bother to ask what type of tortillas I wanted. My husband ordered some kind of beef plate. Their "mild" salsa was extremely HOT. And I could typically handle medium salsa. I thought the waiter made a mistake w/ the salsa- No, he said, this IS the mild. There goes my chips and salsa and salsa on my fajitas. The food arrived and of course there were no tortillas for my fajitas. I asked for them, and 10 minutes later, they arrived- when my fajitas got cold. My husbands beef strips were very dry. The waiter NEVER stopped by after bringing the food to see if everything was all right- perhaps refill our drinks as we really needed it. After a long wait, my husband waived him down to bring us the check. On the bill, the waiter didn't even add the large pina colada we ordered and he brought us. Heck, we weren't going to wait another 15 minutes to get him to come again to our table and another 15 min to bring the corrected check. We were totally dissappointed with both the food and service. Even the major chains of mexican food restaurants beat this place.

Best queso and margaritas around
Carlos & Mickey's has the best queso anywhere. It's thick not watered down or thinned down. You can add green chilies and/or chorizo. It's spicy, thick, and real cheese! As Emeril would say - you could put this on the bumper of a Volkswagon and it would taste great! Their margaritas are very powerful and you can get 3 sizes: regular (plenty), El Paso size, or Texas size. Their food is authentic Mexican and out of this world. Service is a bit slow.
